Group Therapy

Group therapy offers a unique opportunity to heal through connection. While individual therapy provides depth and focus, group work allows us to experience ourselves in relationship with others in real time, which can be especially powerful for growth, insight, and change.

Many people come to group therapy feeling alone in their struggles. One of the most meaningful aspects of group work is discovering that others share similar experiences, questions, or emotions. Being seen, understood, and reflected by others can reduce isolation and foster a deep sense of belonging.

In group therapy, participants often gain insight not only from the therapist, but from one another. Through shared experience, honest reflection, and gentle feedback, group members can begin to notice relational patterns, experiment with new ways of showing up, and develop greater emotional awareness.

Groups are facilitated with care, attention to emotional safety, and respect for each person’s pace. Participation is invitational, and there is room to observe, reflect, speak, and engage in ways that feel right for you. Over time, the group can become a space for practicing authenticity, connection, and self-trust. It may be especially supportive if you are navigating identity, belonging, relationship themes, life transitions, or experiences that feel isolating when carried alone.

My approach to group therapy is informed by the work of Irvin Yalom, which emphasizes the healing power of shared experience, authentic connection, and interpersonal learning. Group therapy offers a chance to feel less alone, more understood, and more connected, both within the group and beyond it.

Identity and Belonging Process Group

This group is designed for adults who are exploring questions of identity, belonging, and life transitions. You may be navigating shifts related to relationships, family roles, culture, sexuality, gender, or a sense of meaning and direction.

Through shared reflection and interpersonal connection, group members have the opportunity to gain insight, feel less alone, and explore how they show up in relationships. The group is facilitated with attention to emotional safety, authenticity, and mutual respect.
